I started 2021 as a dataviz freelancer, mainly working with Romain Vuillemot on sports, 3D scenes, camera calibration, and other interactive dataviz projects. We used a lot Observable notebooks.
In June, I started working at Hugging Face, after a small dataviz contract to represent the collaborative dimension of a model training session. Then, I switched to creating the dataset viewer project. During this year, I mainly focused on extracting the first 100 rows of every dataset, and providing them as JSON, and reading them from the Hub in what was called “dataset preview” at that time.
